Northborough, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) announced on Thursday that six East Stroudsburg University lacrosse student-athletes landed on IWLCA All-Atlantic Region teams. The six all-region honorees in a single season is tied for the most selections (2018) in ESU program history.
Four Warriors landed on the IWLCA All-Atlantic Team First Team, including graduate student Hana Cicerelle, freshman Emily Mitarotonda, graduate student Tatyana Petteway and senior Kayleigh Pokrivka.
Seniors Kristen Andreychak and Gianna LeDuc earned IWLCA All-Atlantic Second Team laurels.

Cicerelle, ESU's leading goal scorer and Warriors' all-time career points leader, has posted 43 goals and 16 points for 59 points on the season. Among all active Division II players, Cicerelle ranks 12th in goals with 175 and 14th in career points (265) in her career. The Broadway, N.J. native is now a three-time first team all-region honoree after previously earning first team all-region accolades during the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

Mitarotonda, the reigning IWLCA DII Offensive Player of the Week, has registered an impressive 42 goals and 11 assists for 53 points in an impressive debut season. On draw controls, she has posted 69, which ranks third best in the PSAC this season. Not to be outdone defensively, she ranks second on the team in caused turnovers with 22. The freshman from Morris Knolls, N.J. has performed at the highest stage, leading the Warriors in goals (7), points (11), draw controls (13) and caused turnovers (6), while tying for the team lead in assists (4) in a pair of NCAA Atlantic Region wins at Eiler-Martin Stadium this past weekend.

Petteway, who became ESU's all-time saves leader this past weekend against Seton Hill, has continued to perform among the best goalkeepers in Division II history. In 15 games this season, Petteway ranks sixth nationally in goals against average (7.65) and save percentage (.533) and 10th in saves (130). She is the Division II all-time minutes played leader with 4,353 minutes played. The Nanuet, N.Y. native has earned all-region status in all four eligible seasons, earning first-team nods in 2017, 2019 and 2021, while landing on the second team in 2018. She becomes the first Warrior to earn all-region in four seasons.

Pokrivka has continued to terrorize opposing offenses during her senior season, ranking 14th nationally in caused turnovers per game with 2.27 and leads ESU with 34 caused turnovers and 34 ground balls. She has been a major factor in ESU ranking 11th in Division II in scoring defense (7.33). The all-region honor is the second of her career for the York, Pa. product after landing on the IWLCA All-Atlantic Region First Team in 2018.

Andreychak has also proved to be an outstanding defender, earning all-region status for the first time during her career. This season, Andreychak has caused 16 turnovers and scooped 12 ground balls. During her career, the Hillsborough, N.J. native has started in all 60 games she appeared in, scooping 81 ground balls and causing 58 turnovers as a Warrior.

LeDuc, a senior from Westtown, N.Y., has put together an impressive senior campaign, leading ESU in assists (19), while scoring 28 goals for 47 points. To date in her career, she has found the back of the cage 53 times while assisting on 37 Warrior goals. The all-region accolade is the first of her career. She was named to the All-PSAC East first team earlier this season.
The Warriors, the fourth-seed, battle first-seed Queens (N.C.) in the NCAA Semifinal round on Friday at 4:00 p.m. at Donald J. Kerr Stadium in Salem, Va. The winner will face the winner of two-seed Lindenwood and three-seed Roberts Wesleyan on Sunday in the national championship game at 2:00 p.m.
