EAST STROUDSBURG – After an 18-7 victory over Bloomsburg in the conference quarterfinals, the No. 9 East Stroudsburg University lacrosse team turns its head to No. 4 West Chester in the PSAC Semifinal round on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Vonnie Gros Field.
The Warriors (10-2, 9-2) look to avenge their only two losses on the season against the undefeated Golden Rams (11-0).
In the first matchup at Eiler-Martin Stadium on March 23, ESU tied the contest up at 8-8 after a 4-0 scoring run in the second half, but WCU would finish the game on a 6-1 run to escape with a 14-9 win.
ESU held a 10-8 second-half lead in the rematch on April 17, but the Golden Rams would find a way to win by scoring six of the final eight goals to earn a 12-10 win at Vonnie Gros Field.
In ESU's last outing against the Huskies, graduate student Hana Cicerelle became ESU's all-time program leader in points, posting five goals. Over her past two contests, Cicerelle has been on a tear with 13 points (10 goals, 3 assists). This season, Cicerelle ranks fourth in the conference in goals per game (3.08) and points per game (4.25).
Graduate student Tatyana Petteway could join Cicerelle in the record books on Wednesday. The Nanuet, N.Y. native is just 10 saves away from becoming ESU's all-time leader in saves. Petteway currently ranks 10th all-time in Division II with 728 career saves and second all-time in minutes. Petteway ranks second nationally in save percentage (.599) and fifth in goals against average (6.43) this season.

The winner of the ESU-WCU matchup will host the PSAC Championship against the winner of No. 22 Seton Hill and Mercyhurst on Saturday. If the Warriors win, the game will be played at Whitenight Field.
