PHILADELPHIA -- The East Stroudsburg University men's soccer team fell to Holy Family, 5-3, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at Tiger Field.
The Warriors fall to 2-3 on the season, while HFU picks up its first win of the season at 1-3-1.
Lucas Marques led the Warriors offensively on the day with a goal and an assist. Conor Rowbottom and Bradley Turocy also registered goals for ESU, while Colby Raymond and Filippo Riva notched assists. Nick Mazella made a pair of saves in his ESU debut in goal.
Notables:
- In just five games this season, Raymond now has 13 points on four goals and five assists. He has registered at least an assist in four of his first five contests at ESU.
- Marques also continued his hot start to his career in the Poconos, with 10 points in five games. He has four multi-point games as a Warrior in five contests.
- Turocy's goal is the third of the season, after recording a pair of goals in ESU's opener against Felician. The goal is the 10th of his career.
- Riva's assist was the first of his career for the freshman from Italy.
- ESU led 15-11 on shots and 8-7 on shots on goal.
- HFU limited ESU to just one corner kick, while the Tigers tallied six corners.
- The Tigers' Mark Tobin made five saves in the win.
