KUTZTOWN – The East Stroudsburg University women's cross country team returned to competition for the first time in two weeks on Saturday with an 11th place finish at Kutztown's DII/DIII Challenge at the North Campus Course.
The Warriors placed 11th out of 14 scoring squads in the 6K race and were paced by senior Kylie Stangle and sophomore Keely Arndt, who each recorded top-30 finishes. Stangle clocked a time of 25:35.8 to earn a 26th place finish while Arndt was just under eight seconds behind in 28th with a time of 25:47.0.
In her first race of the year, graduate student Mandy Fine took 63rd with a time of 27:17.8 and freshman Olympia Curley-Katrishen was 90th after finishing in 28:29.8.
Rounding out the finishes for the Warriors was senior Kaylene Raczka in 92nd at 28:23.1 and freshman Jada Williams with a time of 30:16.8
ESU will go another two weeks in between meets as they travel to Lehigh on Friday, Oct. 1 for the 47th Paul Short Run at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.
