Women’s Basketball Unveils Schedule for 2021-22 Season

EAST STROUDSBURG – After missing the 2020-21 season due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the East Stroudsburg University women's basketball teams is back on the court this winter as second-year head coach Stephanie Del Preore announced the 2021-22 schedule on Tuesday.

The Warriors campaign will feature a 22-game PSAC slate as well as four non-conference games.

"After missing the entire season in 2020-21, we are thrilled to be back on the court competing in one of the best conferences in the country," said Del Preore.

ESU will begin its 95th season at Le Moyne on Wednesday, Nov. 17 before traveling to Jefferson on Nov. 22. The Warriors get PSAC play underway on Nov. 24 at Slippery Rock before returning to Koehler Fieldhouse for back-to-back games against Seton Hill (Dec. 3) and Cal U (Dec. 4).

The Warriors wrap up their non-league slate on Dec. 8 when they welcome Lincoln and following a 10-day break, they head to Edinboro (Dec.18) and Mercyhurst (Dec.19) to continue conference play. ESU closes out the 2021 portion of their campaign on Dec. 30 when they host Holy Family.

After the Christmas break, ESU begins playing the East portion of their schedule starting with a trip to Mansfield on Jan. 5. The Warriors return to Koehler Fieldhouse on Jan. 8 to battle Kutztown before heading west for Bloomsburg on Jan. 10.

ESU is back at home against Millersville on Jan. 12 and three days later travels to Shippensburg on Jan. 15.

ESU begins a three-game homestand on Jan. 19 against Lock Haven before welcoming Gannon and West Chester on Jan. 22 and Jan. 24.

The Warriors close out the month of January at Shepherd on Jan. 26 and start playing Eastern Division teams for the second time beginning with Shippensburg at home on Jan. 29.

During the first week of February, ESU travels to Kutztown and Millersville on Feb. 2 and Feb. 5 before returning to Koehler Fieldhouse for the final home games of the regular season.

The Warriors square off versus Bloomsburg on Feb. 9 and after the bye weekend, ESU hosts Mansfield and Shepherd on Feb. 16 and Feb. 19. The game against the Rams is scheduled to be senior night for the Warriors.

ESU will finish the regular season at Lock Haven (Feb. 23) and West Chester (Feb. 26) the following week.

The first and quarterfinal rounds of the PSAC Women's Basketball Championships will once again start on campus with matchups set for Feb. 28 and March 2. The top two teams on each side of the conference will earn a bye to the quarterfinals and a home game on Wednesday, March 2.

The winners will then advance to the semifinals on March 5, which will be held at the top remaining seed in the eastern division. The championship is set for the following day on Sunday, March 6.
