LEWISBURG – After four events in the heptathlon, senior Daniel Daley sits in fourth place to highlight the East Stroudsburg University men's track and field team competing on day one of Bucknell's Bison Open & Multi at Gerhard Fieldhouse.
Running Highlights
In the 60m hurdles, Nasir Kyle took fifth place after clocking a personal-best time of 8.90.
Raul Esteves and Tyler Boone continue to put together strong performances in the 200m as Esteves clocked a 22.43 while Boone notched a 22.66 for second and fourth place finishes respectively.
Heptathlon
After the first four events in the heptathlon, Daniel Daley leads ESU in fourth with 2469 points, while Caleb Carney sits seventh with 2284 points and Eric Krzyzaniak in ninth with 2185 points.
Krzyzaniak opened the heptathlon by taking third in the 60m dash with a time of 7.38 while Daley was fifth (7.44) and Carney took sixth (7.46). In the long jump, Daley leaped 6.15m, Krzyzaniak jumped 5.35m and Carney recorded a mark of 5.12m. ESU recorded a pair of personal-bests in the shot put with Krzyzaniak and Carney recording marks of 10.00m and 9.96m respectively while Daley notched a throw 9.80m.
In the high-jump, the Warriors were led by Carney clearing the bar at 1.85m, while Daley record a personal-best height of 1.82m and Krzyzaniak notched a height of 1.67m.
