EAST STROUDSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University field hockey team dropped one spot to No. 3 in this week's Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll, released on Tuesday by the organization.
West Chester (8-0) continued to hold the No. 1 ranking for the fifth straight week after garnering 19 of the 21 first-place votes. Shippensburg (8-1) jumped up to No. 2 and were followed by the Warriors (8-1), as both teams received a single first-place vote.
No. 4 Kutztown (8-2) and No. 5 Millersville (8-1) swapped spots while IUP (6-3) held steady at No. 6.
No. 7 Assumption (7-2) and No. 8 Converse (7-0) flipped places and Mansfield made their first appearance since November 2019, coming in at No. 9. Saint Anselm (4-4) fell to No. 10 to round out this week's poll.
The Warriors return to Whitenight Field tomorrow for the first time in 38 days as they host Bloomsburg at 3 p.m.
Amy Supey remains as one the top goalkeepers in the country as the junior leads all of NCAA DII and the PSAC with a 0.28 goals against average and .889 save percentage.
ESU has featured a balance offensive attack through the first half of the season with 15 different goal scorers, led by seniors Nicole Krozser (6), Madison Kline (5), Hanna Lewis (5) and graduate student Morgan Mesenbrink (5).
