Warriors Hold at No. 3 in This Week’s NFHCA DII National Coaches Poll

EAST STROUDSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University field hockey team held steady at No. 3 in this week's edition of the Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll, released on Tuesday by the organization.

Despite suffering their first loss of the season, West Chester (9-1) stayed in the top spot for the sixth consecutive week after receiving 15 of the 21 first-place votes. Shippensburg (9-1) stumbled for the first time as well but stayed at No. 2 with a trio of first-place votes. The Warriors followed (9-1) after collecting a single first-place vote.

No. 4 Kutztown (10-2) and No. 5 Millersville (10-1) remained in the same rankings as last week, each garnering a first-place vote after defeating the Raiders and Golden Rams respectively.

Converse (8-0) remained undefeated to climb to their highest ranking in program history at No. 6, while Assumption (8-3) was No. 7, followed by IUP (6-4) at No. 8.

Mansfield (6-6) slotted in at No. 9 and Bloomsburg jumped up to No. 10 to round out this week's poll.

The Warriors return to Whitenight Field tomorrow at 3 p.m. for a top-five showdown with the Marauders.

Amy Supey continues to perform as one the best goalkeepers in the country as the junior paces all of NCAA DII and the PSAC with a 0.25 goals against average and .917 save percentage.

ESU has featured a balance offensive attack through the first 10 games of the season with 15 different goal scorers, led by seniors Nicole Krozser (6), Madison Kline (5), Hanna Lewis (5) and graduate student Morgan Messenbrink (5).
