EAST STROUDSBURG – In its final regular season home game of the 2022 season, the East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team fell to Bloomsburg, 2-0, on Wednesday evening inside Eiler-Martin Stadium.
The Warriors (9-6-2, 7-6-2 PSAC East) will now find out its fate for the PSAC Tournament on Saturday, while the Huskies (13-3-1, 11-3-1 PSAC East) will enter the postseason as the second seed in the PSAC East.
With West Chester, Bloomsburg and Kutztown each securing playoff positions, the last team in the PSAC Tournament will either be ESU or Shippensburg. To secure its own postseason destiny, ESU would need to win or tie undefeated No. 2 West Chester on Saturday. The Warriors could also earn a spot into the PSAC Tournament with help from Bloomsburg, if the Huskies defeat or tie Shippensburg on Saturday. The only scenario Shippensburg can get the fourth seed into the PSAC Tournament is if it defeats Bloomsburg and ESU falls to West Chester on Saturday.
