The College Sports Communicators (formerly College Sports Information Directors of America) announced that East Stroudsburg University men’s soccer members Stelios Melekos and Colby Raymond were selected to the CSC Academic All-District Team.

Melekos, a defender, led ESU with five assists during the 2022 season. He started in 18 of 19 contests, and was a major contributor with ESU seventh-ranked defense in the PSAC (1.34 GAA). 

Melekos helped end eventual PSAC Champion Mercyhurst’s 13-game shutout streak, assisting on Laurent Gjonmarkaj’s goal in the second half. 

A business management major, the Collegeville, Pa. native holds a 3.95 grade point average.

Raymond earns the all-district honor for the second consecutive season, after holding a 3.688 GPA. The 2022 All-PSAC East selection totaled three goals and an assist in limited time on the season due to injury. 

He becomes the sixth Warrior in program history to earn the honor in multiple seasons.  

The Warriors finished the 2022 season with a 8-9-3 record, advancing to the PSAC Semifinals before bowing out to nationally-ranked Mercyhurst.
