LOCK HAVEN –  On Thursday afternoon, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced that four East Stroudsburg University men’s soccer student-athletes were selected All-PSAC East teams.

Defender Pieter Neerhof was named the PSAC East Freshman of the Year and was joined on the All-PSAC East First Team by Abdulla Nuredini. Additionally, Colby Raymond and Nathan Bradway were selected to the All-PSAC East Second Team.

Neerhof started in 16 of 17 contests he appeared in, registering three goals as a defender. He posted a goal in his collegiate debut against Felician on Aug., 25 and added goals against St. Thomas Aquinas and Bloomsburg.

The native of Oosterbeek, Netherlands was a key factor in Warrior defensive scheme that ranked sixth in the PSAC in goals against average and third in shutout percentage. With the help of Neerhof, the Warriors have posted shutouts in five of its final seven contests entering the PSAC Semifinals.

He leads ESU in shot percentage (.300). Neerhof is just the second Warrior in program history to earn the honor, joining Kevin Holmes in 2006 as ESU players to earn freshman of the year accolades.

His honor marks ESU’s first major award since 2017, when Keelby Espinola took home PSAC Defensive Athlete of the Year laurels.

Nuredini was selected to the PSAC All-Conference first team at midfield after tallying three goals and two assists on the season, sharing the team lead in both goals and assists.

His patented long-distance goals have helped ESU offensively and often initiates scoring chances on free kicks.

In two seasons as a Warrior, the California (Pa.) transfer has totaled five goals, six assists and 16 points.

Bradway, a freshman from Wynnewood, tallied two goals and a pair of assists in his first season at ESU.

He starred in his collegiate debut, posting a goal and an assist against Felician. He found the back of the net against PSAC East regular-season champion Bloomsburg on Oct. 5.

He has started in 14 of 19 contests this campaign.

Raymond earns All-PSAC East honors for the second consecutive season after being named to the All-PSAC First Team in 2021.

Despite missing a chunk of the season due to an injury, the native of Kingwood, N.J. is tied for the team lead in goals (3) and ranks third in points with seven.

The exercise science major has totaled nine goals, 10 assists for 28 points the past two seasons.

ESU battles Mercyhurst in the PSAC Semifinals with a trip to the PSAC Championship on the line on Friday at 5:30 p.m. at Bloomsburg’s Steph Pettit Field.
