YORK, Pa. -- In the final women's event of the day, Sarah Luigard posted the second fastest mark in program history in the 200-yd butterfly to highlight day three of the PSAC Swimming Championships for the East Stroudsburg University swimming team.
Notables
- Sarah Luigard's final time of 2:12.59 in the 200-yd butterfly is the fastest by a Warrior this season and is the second fastest at ESU ever. Her previous high of 2:15.76 ranked sixth all-time, while her new top time of 2:12.59 ranks second behind Allison Cardow's 2:10.77 mark set in the 2017-18 season. Luigard finished 17th in the event and won the C Final to add nine points to the ESU score.
- Fohring also added points to the Warriors' team score in the event, registering six points with a time of 2:16.56 for 19th place. The mark places her seventh at ESU in the event since 1995.
- The Warriors remain in 11th place with 161 points entering the final day of the conference championship meet.
How it Happened: Session 5 (Prelims)
- In the 500-yd freestyle, Madison Tafe posted a time of 5:36.54 for 37th place.
- Julia Harnish recorded a time of 1:10.68 in the 100-yd breaststroke for 26th place of 34 competitors, just missing the finals.
How it Happened: Session 6 (Finals)
- Luigard and Fohring combined for 15 points in the 200-yd butterfly. Luigard topped her preliminary time by nearly five seconds.
- In the 200-yd medley relay, Jenna Johnson, Julia Harnish, Fohring and Naihomy Garcia combined for a time of 1:54.34 for 11th place. The time earned the Warriors 32 points towards their team score.
