LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- The nationally-ranked East Stroudsburg University lacrosse team was selected to finish second in the PSAC East, the conference office announced on Wednesday afternoon.

ESU earned two of seven first-place votes, while West Chester (1st) earned four and Bloomsburg (2nd) also earned a first-place tally. Shippensburg (4th), Millersville (5th), Shepherd (6th) and Kutztown round out the poll in the east division.

In the PSAC West, defending west division champion Seton Hill earned five of seven first place votes, as the coaches selected the Griffins to repeat. Mercyhurst (2nd), IUP (3rd), Slippery Rock (4th), Lock Haven (5th), Edinboro (6th) and Gannon (7th) followed in the poll.

This preseason, the Warriors were tabbed fifth in the nation by the IWLCA and sixth by the USA Lacrosse Magazine in preseason polls. The potent Warrior offense that ranked 19th nationally in scoring offense, returns over 60 percent of its goals, assists and points from a season ago.

ESU opens the 2022 Season at Whitenight Field on March 2nd against Jefferson.
