BETHLEHEM & FAIRFAX, Va. – The East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team add two more PSAC marks as the Warriors competed at George Mason's Dalton Ebanks Invitational and the Lehigh Invitational on Saturday afternoon.
Inside George Mason Stadium, Kamya Edmonds and Madison Horahan both secured conference qualifying marks for at least their second event this season, with Edmonds in the long jump and Horahan in the discus.
Running Highlights
Misha Duverger and Jalen Rhodes both finished tied for 30th in the 100m after running clocking a 12.96. A number of Warriors competed in the 200m with Ariel Kyle leading the way in 33rd at a season-best 26.30, while Duverger clocked a personal-best time of 26.53.
Kyle returned to the track by taking 36th in the 400m with a time of 1:01.98.
Jacklyn Spaccaforno lowered her personal-best time in the 100m hurdles to 15.74 while taking 20th and Sarah Guthrie took 18th in the 400m hurdles after clocking a personal-best time of 1:08.29.
Running the 4x100m relay for the first time this season, Kyle, Kayla Horning, Duverger and Kamaya Edmonds ran a time of 50.62 in 10th.
Duverger, Guthrie, Rhodes and Kyle followed that up with the Warriors season-best time in the 4x400m relay at 4:20.01.
Field Event Highlights
Competing in the Green Section of the pole vault, Hannah Frankenfield cleared the bar at 3.27m (10-8 ¾) on her way to finishing fifth.
After competing on the track, Edmonds returned to the sand pit where she recorded a PSAC qualifying mark of 5.43m (17-9 ¾) in seventh, which ranks ninth-best in program history. She followed that up with a personal-best mark in the triple jump at 11.45m (37-6 ¾) to finish 12th, which moved her up to seventh all-time in the record books.
Makar took first place in the shot put after recording a throw of 14.21m (46-7 ½) and Madison Horahan followed in 13th with a personal-best mark of 12.29m (40-4), which sits eighth all-time in school history.
Isabella Marte led the way in the hammer by taking eighth after recording a throw of 47.99m (157-5), followed Makar in 12th at 45.69m (149-11) and Horahan in 14th with a mark of 45.36m (148-10).
As ESU's only thrower in the javelin, Olivia Sforza finished 14th following a toss of 35.19m (115-5).
Horahan closed out the day strong in throws by taking 14th in the discus with a conference qualifying mark of 37.30m (122-4) while Marte followed in 15th at 37.07m (121-7).
Lehigh Invitational
Beginning the day for ESU at the Goodman Track & Field Complex was senior Kaylene Raczka in the 1500m by taking 20th with a time of 5:27.99.
In the 800, Carolina Kaczmarek took 33rd with a season-best time of 2:35.57.
