UNIVERSITY PARK – Zandrew Bowe (400m) highlighted the East Stroudsburg University men's track final tune up by securing a PSAC automatic time at Penn State's Jim Thorpe Invitational on Friday at the Nittany Lion Outdoor Track.
Running Highlights
On his way to a PSAC automatic mark in the 400m, Bowe took fourth place after clocking a personal-best time of 49.63.
The Warriors opened a rainy afternoon in the 3000m steeplechase with Evan Wooby taking third at 10:28.85 while Koodsha Manjaro was fifth with a personal-best time of 10:42.16.
In the 110m hurdles, Caleb Carney took third place after clocking a personal-best time of 15.32.
Sean Roberts just missed a PSAC automatic mark in the 100m as the senior clocked a time of 11.17 in third, followed by Jared Williams (10th – 11.58) and Matt Linbrunner (11th – 11.67). Roberts returned to earn a second place finish in the 200m with a season-best time of 22.85 and Williams was fourth at 23.98.
In the 800m, Jordan Chong-Gayle took third after finishing with a time of 2:02.48.
As the only three runners in the 400m hurdles, Caleb Carney finished first at 57.34, followed by Linbrunner with a personal-best time of 1:02.28 and Caleb Diaz Viola at 1:05.25.
Field Highlights
Robert Plump took fourth in the pole vault after clearing a season-best height of 4.25m (13-11 ¼).
In the high jump, Carlos Pepin finished second after eclipsing a season-best mark of 2.01m (6-7) which now ranks second in the PSAC.
