LOCK HAVEN – East Stroudsburg University volleyball freshman Anna Coulter received PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week honors on Monday, as announced by the league office.
Coulter aided the Warriors to a 2-2 weekend out in western Pennsylvania as she produced 2.42 kills (29 total), 1.08 blocks (13 total) and 0.67 digs (8 total) per set. The freshman recorded a career-high 12 kills to go along with four blocks against Mercyhurst and currently ranks tied for 8th in the PSAC with 31 blocks this season.
The Hershey native earns Defensive Athlete of the Week honors for the first time in her ESU career.
This marks the second weekly award for the Warriors this season as junior Kaylee LoPresto garnered Athlete of the Week honors on August 29.
ESU returns to Koehler Fieldhouse on Thursday for the first time in 19 days as the Warriors welcome Holy Family for their final non-conference match of the season beginning at 7 p.m.
