Warriors Ranked Third in Latest NFHCA DII National Coaches Poll

EAST STROUDSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University field hockey team ranked third in this week's Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll, released on Tuesday by the organization.

The Warriors (3-0) remained in the same position from the preseason poll and received one first-place vote.

West Chester (4-0) took over the top spot after earning 17 of the 23 first-place votes, while Shippensburg (3-0) dropped to second after receiving five first-place tallies

Millersville (4-0) jumped up three spots to No. 4 in the rankings while Kutztown (3-0), Saint Anselm (0-3), Assumption (1-2), IUP (2-0), Bently (1-3) and Converse (3-0) rounded out the top 10 in the poll this week.

ESU will look to remain undefeated this afternoon as the Warriors travel to Pace for a 4 p.m. game against the Setters from Peter X. Finnerty Field.

With the help of the Warriors back line, junior goalkeeper Amy Supey leads all of NCAA DII and the PSAC with a 0.00 goals against average. In 158 minutes played, the Lehman native has been called on to make one save and earned her first shutout of the year last weekend at Saint Anselm.
