EAST STROUDSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University women’s tennis team kicks off the 2022-23 season tomorrow as the Warriors take on Dominican at 3 p.m. from Manny Welder Park.
ESU is right back in action on Saturday at the Chestnut Hill College Tennis Courts as the Warriors battle the Griffins at noon.

Who’s Back: ESU welcomes back three student-athletes from last year’s squad including senior Sherin Paul, junior Sophie Golden and sophomore Samantha Passmore.
Who’s Not: ESU will be without a pair of seniors in Mady Cruz and Emma Wiedbrauk as well as Jessica Passmore.
Who’s New: The Warriors added a trio of new faces in sophomore Heavenly White and freshmen Montana Catalan and Peteya Scott.
The Coach: Marina Zardet '20 enters her second season as the head coach of the women's tennis program after helping the Warriors return to competition for the first time in 897 days last spring.
Fall Schedule: ESU opens the season with three non-conference matches on the road including at Dominican (Sept. 15), at Chestnut Hill (Sept. 17) and at Marywood (Sept. 24). The Warriors close out their fall slate with matches against California (Oct. 7) and Slippery Rock (Oct. 8) from Wolbers Courts.
Spring Schedule: The Warriors return to the court in late March, alternating home and road PSAC matches beginning at Millersville (March 27), followed by West Chester (March 29), at Shippensburg (April 1) and vs. Kutztown (April 4). Three days later, Lock Haven (April 7) visits the Poconos before ESU heads to Saint Thomas Aquinas (April 11) for their final non-conference match of the year. The Warriors finish of the season at Shepherd (April 15) before coming back home to host Bloomsburg (April 18).
Postseason: Following a trio of non-conference matches, the Warriors head to Bloomsburg for the PSAC Individual Championships from Oct. 1 through Oct. 3 at the Burt Reese Tennis Center. In the spring, the top three seeds in each division will return to Bloomsburg for the team championships on April 25, 28-29.
