LOCK HAVEN – After matching a program-record with five field goals made against Seton Hill on Saturday, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced on Monday that Devin Bartholomew was selected as PSAC East Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week.
Bartholomew booted field goals from 26, 50, 35, 46 and 38 yards against the Griffins, totaling 16 of ESU's 22 points in the 22-7 victory over the Griffins. His lone miss of the day came from 52-yards out. His second field goal from 50 yards matched his career long, which was set at West Chester last season. The field goal was the 10th in program history of at least 50 yards, and he is now tied with Jordan Walters for the second most 50-yd plus field goals made with two. Only Taylor Groff has made more in his ESU career, with four from 2010 to 2013.
Bartholomew's five field goals in a single game is tied with fellow NCAA Division II institution Valdosta State's Estin Thiele for the most in an NCAA football game this season. The only other Warrior to record five field goals in a single game was Greg Knauss against West Chester in 2007. Knauss made all five of his attempts that day from 45, 34, 20, 30 and 27 yards.
The weekly honor is the second of Bartholomew's career, after earning the honor by making a pair of field goals against Bloomsburg in 2021. The Schencksville, Pa. native has made all seven PATs this season, extending his personal streak to 36 to start his Warrior career.
Bartholomew and the Warriors return home to Eiler-Martin Stadium on Saturday afternoon, when ESU welcomes Lock Haven for Family Weekend. The opening kickoff is set for 1:05 p.m.
