EAST STROUDSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University field hockey team held steady at No. 2 in this week's latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Division II National Coaches Poll, released on Tuesday by the organization.
West Chester (6-0) stayed in the top spot after garnering 18 of the 19 first-place votes, followed by ESU, who collected one first-place vote, while Shippensburg (7-0) remained at No. 3.
No. 4 Kutztown (6-0) and No. 5 Millersville (5-0) swapped places while Saint Anselm (2-3) held steady at No. 6. IUP (4-1) jumped up one spot to No. 7 for their highest ranking since 2013, while Converse (5-0) fell to No. 8. No. 9 Assumption (3-2) and No. 10 Newberry (4-2) finished out the top-10.
The Warriors are back on the road today for their makeup against Molloy at 4 p.m. from Cedar Creek Park.
Junior goalkeeper Amy Supey continues to lead all of NCAA DII and the PSAC with a 0.00 goals against average. Playing in 299:06 minutes, Supey has notched seven saves and recorded her lone solo shutout of the season back on Sept. 10 at Saint Anselm.
