MILLERSVILLE – The East Stroudsburg women's basketball team couldn't recover from a slow start, dropping a 67-45 decision to Millersville on Saturday afternoon at Pucillo Gymnasium.  
With both teams entering the matchup with near identical records, the Warriors fall to 8-7 on the year and 4-4 in the conference while the Marauders go to 9-6 overall and 4-5 in the PSAC.
Notables
	- Ryan Weise led the Warriors with a team-high 13 points to go with three rebounds and three assists
	  
	- The Allentown, N.J. native continued her pursuit of the single season record for three pointers made of 63 by Maryellen Onofre (2005-06) as the graduate student now has 55 makes
	  
	- Freshman Caitlin Marten added a career-high 10 points as well as a pair of rebounds
	  
	- Graduate student Shyla Sanford totaled nine points, seven rebounds, one assist and one steal
	  
	- ESU finished 17-of-49 (34.7%) from the field, 2-of-17 (11.8%) from three point territory and 9-of-19 (47.7%) from the charity stripe
	  
	- The Marauders went 23-of-51 (45.1%) overall, 3-of-7 (42.9%) from beyond the arc and 18-of-26 (69.2%) from the free throw line
	  
	- Millersville had three players in double-digit scorers led by Taylor Langan with 13 points, five rebounds, three assists and four steals while La'shyra Williams had 13 points and a pair of boards. Marin Miller added 10 points, two rebounds, six assists and a trio steals
 
How It Happened
	- In the first four minutes of the game, the Marauders raced out to a 11-0 lead, going 4-of-7 from the field until Marten converted a layup at the 5:45 mark. The Warriors would then score eight of the next 12 points to trim their deficit to 15-10, but Millersville answered with a 9-2 run to close out the first quarter to regain a 24-12 edge.
	  
	- Through the first five minutes of the second quarter, the Marauders edge the Warriors, 9-6, to push their lead to 33-18. Out of the media timeout, the teams struggled offensively the remainder of the period, combining to go 3-of-13 which gave Millersville a 35-23 advantage at the break.
	  
	- The Warriors scored the first five points of the second half to trim their deficit to 35-27, but the Marauders responded right back with a 5-0 spurt for a 13-point lead. Over the final five minutes, the teams each scored 12 points which put Millersville ahead 52-39 going into the fourth.
	  
	- Millersville scored six straight points to open the final period, stretching their lead to 58-39 until ESU's first basket at 5:50. The Marauders ultimately closed out the game, 67-45, for the victory.
