LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – After leading the East Stroudsburg University men's soccer team with a combined three goals against Bloomsburg and Shepherd, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced on Monday afternoon that
Trevor Paone was selected as the PSAC East Athlete of the Week.
Paone led ESU with both of the Warriors' goals in a 3-2 loss to Bloomsburg. It was ESU's first loss of the season, as Paone helped ESU bounce back from an early first-half deficit with goals in the 69th minute and 85th minute. The Ocean City, N.J. native added ESU's second goal in a 5-1 win over Shepherd on Saturday.
In nine games this season, Paone has now registered five goals and an assist for 11 points. He ranks third in both goals and points on the Warriors. In 65 games as a Warrior, Paone has totaled 11 goals and five assists for 27 points. The conference weekly honor is the first of his career.
Paone and the Warriors are back in action on Wednesday evening against Lock Haven. Game time in the Poconos is set for 7:00 p.m.
