BLOOMSBURG – Led by sophomore Landon Boyle, the East Stroudsburg University men's cross country team placed fourth at the 2023 PSAC Championships on Saturday morning from the BU Cross Country Course.
ESU, who was picked to finish eighth in the PSAC Preseason Poll, matched their best performance since the 2019 championships.
For the first time in his collegiate career, Boyle garnered Second Team All-PSAC honors as the Minersville native turned in a 21st place finish with a time of 27:15.0. ESU has now registered at least one all-conference performance in the last nine championships.
Freshmen Ethan Holcomb (27:43.0) and Bryce Keenoy (27:44.8) were impressive in their PSAC Championship debut as the duo finished just outside the top-30, taking 33rd and 35th respectively.
Not too far behind was freshman Liam Hansberry in 40th after crossing the line in 28:02.6, while fellow classmate Cory Miduri took 49th with a time of 28:13.5.
