EAST STROUDSBURG – After taking the first lead of the contest during the 57th minute, the East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team could prevent a pair of late goals from Millersville, as the Marauders picked up a 2-1 win over the Warriors after scoring the game-winning goal with just three seconds remaining in the second half on Saturday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
The Warriors (9-2-3, 7-2-3 PSAC East) suffer just their second loss of the season and remain in a good position to potentially clinch a PSAC Tournament berth on Wednesday. The Marauders (5-6-3, 5-6-2 PSAC East) keep their postseason hopes alive with the victory.

- Caroline Wood rocketed her first goal of the season with just three seconds remaining in the contest, with Madeline O'Donnell finding Wood in a good position to score.
- Maddie Zielke recorded the equalizer for Millersville during the 75th minute of play off a corner kick from Kyleigh Straub.
- Nia Chinapoo opened the scoring during the 57th minute of play, rocketing a long shot to lift ESU to the first lead of the contest.
- Despite the loss, ESU led in most categories including shots (20-5) and shots on goal (10-4). Millersville led 6-3 on corners and 9-2 on saves. ESU was assessed the lone yellow card during the 90th minute.
- ESU GK Emmy Clarkson (9-2-3) suffered just her second loss of the season. The Frederick, Md. native made a pair of saves in the contest. Her counterpart, Millersville GK Bella Fiorenza tallied nine saves.
- The Warriors stay idle with 24 points in the PSAC standings with four matches remaining. ESU needs to win one of their final four matches or tie twice to clinch a spot in the PSAC Tournament.
How It Happened
- 75' | After back-to-back corner kicks, the second corner kick ended in a goal for the Marauders. Clarkson made a save on the first attempt, but Kyleigh Straub was able to find Maddie Zielke, who settled possession and fired a low shot past Clarkson to knot the contest at 1-1.
- 90' | As time was winding down during the final minute, 'Ville was awarded a free kick with 11 seconds to go. Millersville's Madeline O'Donnell was able to settle possession and send a pass to Caroline Wood, who sent a perfect shot past the diving Clarkson for the game-winning goal.
