LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced on Monday afternoon that East Stroudsburg University linebacker Sergei Felizor was named the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week.
Felizor led the Warrior defense with 15 tackles, including 14 solo stops against the Rams. The Hightstown, N.J. native also forced a fumble and blocked an extra point on the afternoon.

Felizor's 15 tackles are the second-most this season, after tallying a career-best 16 against Millersville on Oct. 7. The senior paces ESU with 88 tackles on the season and ranks second on the team with 9.5 tackles for loss. Additionally, he has recorded an interception, broken up four pass breakups, forced two fumbles and blocked a pair of kicks.

He looks to become the first Warrior since Matt Freed (2008-10) to record 100-plus tackles in back-to-back seasons. In 34 career games played, Felizor has recorded 215 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions, 10 pass breakups and three forced fumbles.

Felizor and the Warriors look to boost its chances at an NCAA Tournament berth with a win against California (Pa.) on Saturday. The Senior Day matchup for the Warriors is set for 1:05 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
