LOCK HAVEN – For the third consecutive week, East Stroudsburg University volleyball middle blocker Anna Coulter was honored as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Coulter and the Warriors continued to dominate their opponents as the sophomore averaged 3.67 kills, 1.67 digs, 0.67 blocks, 0.50 assists and 0.33 aces per set to go along with a .439 attack percentage in a 2-0 week that saw ESU win its 17th straight match and remain a perfect 12-0 in the PSAC East.
On Friday night against Millersville, Coulter finished with 12 kills on a remarkable .706 hitting percentage, to go along with four digs, four blocks, two aces and an assist. The Hershey native returned on Saturday vs. West Chester with a match-high 10 kills as well as six digs and two assists.
Among PSAC rankings, Coulter is first in hitting percentage (.425), fifth in points (4.62), sixth in aces (0.47), ninth in kills (3.25) and 12th in blocks (0.86) per set. Additionally, Coulters hitting percentage ranks ninth in all of NCAA Division II.
Coulter notched the seventh weekly honor of the season for ESU as Makayla Baca (Defensive Athlete of the Week – Sept. 11, Oct. 16) and Taylor Haan (Athlete of the Week – Sept. 11, 18) were both previously honored twice.
Additionally, it was the fourth PSAC weekly award for Coulter in her career as she garnered Defensive Athlete of the Week honors on September 12, 2022, and a trio of Athlete of the Week honors this year.
