Renshof Breaks 100 Free School Record, ESU Finishes 11th at PSAC Swimming Championship

York, Pa. – Another day, another impressive performance for East Stroudsburg University freshman Vera Renshof at the PSAC Swimming Championships, as the Netherlands native highlighted the final day of the PSAC Championships with a fourth-place finish with a school record mark in the 100-yd freestyle.

Renshof - who took third place and broke the school record in the 200-yd freestyle on Thursday and took sixth place in the 50-yd freestyle on Wednesday - completed her impressive debut conference championship meet with her third NCAA "B" standard mark in the 100-yd freestyle.

Overall, ESU took 11th place with 270 points.

How it Happened – Session 7
  • Renshof broke the school record in the preliminary round with a time of 51.97, tallying her third NCAA 'B' time during the past four days at the conference championship. Jenna Johnson also competed, posting a 55.52 mark to best her seed time and finished in 42nd place of 51 competitors. Oliva Lukshides previously held the record with a time of 52.16 during the 2018-19 season.
  • In the 1650-yd freestyle, Samantha Grayauskie earned 23rd place with a time of 19:22, while Madison Tafe followed right behind at 24th (19:23.48).
How it Happened – Session 8
  • Renshof topped her afternoon performance, clocking a 51.37 for fourth place, with a new school record and NCAA 'B' standard. The impressive finish gave the Warriors 26 points.
  • The Warriors closed the PSAC Championships with 400-yd freestyle relay, with ESU taking 11th with a time of 3:40.16. The crew of Jenna Johnson, Naihomy Garcia, Madison Tafe and Vera Renshof bested their seed time.
