EAST STROUDSBURG – Playing their third consecutive match at home, the East Stroudsburg University women's tennis team fell to Lock Haven in a PSAC East dual, 6-1, on Friday afternoon from Wolbers Courts.
ESU falls to 0-7 overall and 0-4 in the conference while the Bald Eagles move to 6-3 on the season and 2-2 in the PSAC East.
Elina Joronen continued her excellent stretch for the Warriors as the graduate student moved to 4-0 at No. 1 singles with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Lock Haven's Maddy Reeves.
For the second consecutive match, Joronen and Samantha Passmore picked up a victory in No. 1 doubles as the duo defeated the Bald Eagles' Reeves and Mia Shuler, 6-3.
