Turocy Registers a Pair of Second Half Goals to Force Tie with Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Trailing 2-0 after the 40th minute of play, Bradley Turocy registered two second-half goals, including the equalizer in the 87th minute, forcing a draw with the Lock Haven on Wednesday night inside Hubert Jack Stadium.

With the draw, the Warriors (4-0-2, 1-0-2) move to sole possession of third place in the PSAC East with five points, trailing Millersville and West Chester by just a single point for first place. The Bald Eagles (2-2-2, 0-1-1) now sit in sixth place after the draw.

Notables

  • Turocy's two-score game is his sixth multi-goal game of his career and now has three goals through six contests this season. His six points rank second on the Warriors. Both of his goals came off headers, with nice assists from Ethan Flickinger and AJ Rivera.
  • Scoring goals for LHU were Graham Thurley and Tom Pombor.
  • ESU led in shots (9-8), shots, while both teams tallied six shots on goal. The Bald Eagles earned all six corners. Seven yellow cards were issued, while ESU being charged four times. LHU committed 14 fouls to the Warriors' seven.
  • With the pair of goals, ESU continues to lead the PSAC in scoring, averaging 3.167 goals per game.
  • In goal, reigning PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week, Helgi Hermannsson made two saves, while his counterpart, Brady Freiwald also made two stops.

How It Happened

  • 36' | After a goal kick, LHU settled possession deep in their offensive zone. Jimmy Pombor found his brother, Tom Pombor in space with a nice centering pass. He immediately shot the pass to the left of the diving Hermannsson.
  • 40' | A few minutes later, the Bald Eagles doubled its lead to 2-0. After a long throw-in setup possession in the box, as a pass backwards, followed by a long shot from Connor Swope was redirected in by Thurley to the lower right side of the net for the second LHU goal.
