EAST STROUDSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University men's soccer team remained undefeated and picked up a point in scoreless draw against first-place Millersville on Saturday evening inside Eiler-Martin Stadium.
The draw (4-0-3, 1-0-3 PSAC East) lifts the Warriors to a tie with West Chester for third-place in the PSAC East. The Marauders (5-0-2, 2-0-1) suffer their first non-winning result in PSAC East action.
Notables
- GK Brayden Evans (3-0-1) made eight impressive saves in his third career shutout and his second clean sheet this season. Evans has allowed just two goals in 340 minutes this season, posting a 0.53 goals-against average with 13 saves in 15 shots sent his way.
- Ville's Travis Holiday (5-0-1) made five saves in the tie.
- Millersville led in shots (16-10), shots on goal (8-5) and corners (14-3). Each team was assessed a yellow card during the first half.
- Cayetano Diaz and Colby Raymond each tallied two shots on goal, while Hunter Paone also registered a shot on target.
- Millersville (2-0-1 PSAC East) is now tied with Bloomsburg (2-1-1 PSAC East) atop of the PSAC East standings, with West Chester (2-1 PSAC East) and ESU (1-0-3 PSAC East) just a single point behind. Shippensburg (1-2 PSAC East), Lock Haven (0-1-1) and Shepherd (0-3) round out the standings.
