MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team bounced back after allowing a goal during the 11th minute of action, scoring the final two goals to secure a road conference win at Millersville on Saturday afternoon at Pucillo Field.
With the victory, the Warriors (5-1-1, 3-1-1 PSAC East) move into sole possession of third place and sit just two points behind West Chester in second place of the PSAC East. The Marauders (2-3-1, 2-3-2 PSAC East) are now tied with Bloomsburg for fourth place in the division
Notables
- Natalie Schooley and Nia Chinapoo posted goals for ESU. The goal for Schooley was her fourth score of the season, while Chinapoo's goal marks the first of her career in the Red and Black.
- Millie Smith and Emily Wineburg tallied impressive assists, setting up both Schooley and Chinapoo with the scoring opportunity.
- ESU led 10-4 on shots and 7-1 on shots on goal. The Warriors earned all three corners in the contest. ESU was charged with the lone yellow card of the match during the 54th minute of action.
- Schooley totaled three shots on goal, with Chinapoo posting a pair. Also tallying accurate shots were Smith and Abby James.
- GK Emmy Clarkson (5-1-1) held the Marauders to just the single goal in the complete 90-minute performance for her fifth win of her sophomore season.
