MANSFIELD – Freshman 
Romee Peters scored the game's lone goal in the third quarter as the top-ranked East Stroudsburg University field hockey team blanked No. 6 Mansfield, 1-0, in a PSAC contest on Saturday afternoon at Karl Van Norman Field.
Head coach 
Sandy Miller notched her 487th career win today, moving into third all-time in NCAA Division II history. Miller now trails Lock Haven's longtime head coach Pat Rudy (634) and Bloomsburg legend Jan Hutchinson (591). 
ESU picked up its third consecutive victory as the Warriors improved to 8-1 on the season and 2-0 in the PSAC while the Mounties slipped to 6-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference.
ESU has now defeated Mansfield in the last 19 meetings dating back to 2008 and moved to an impressive 42-6 all-time against the Mounties.
 
Notables
	- Peters registered the first game-winning goal of her collegiate career and picked up the third goal of her freshman campaign
- Senior goalkeeper Amy Supey recorded four saves and her second solo shutout of the season. In her career, the Lehman native is now 44-8 and has 13 shutouts which is the most in program history dating back to 2003
- ESU held the advantage in shots (12-9) and shots on goal (9-4), but Mansfield produced more penalty corners (8-6)
- The Warriors are now 32-12 all-time when ranked as the No. 1 in NCAA Division II, dating back to 2004
