SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – The East Stroudsburg University volleyball team (15-6, 5-4) fell in five sets (25-20, 25-21, 21-25, 18-25, 8-15) against PSAC opponent Shepherd (18-4, 9-0) on Friday evening at the Butcher Athletic Center.

How It Happened
- Set 1 (25-20): The Rams got out in front early, taking a 6-9 lead. At that point, the Warriors went on a 6-1 run to take a 12-10 lead midway through the set. Once the score was knotted at 13-13, ESU went on another run, this one an 8-1 stretch, to take a commanding 21-14 lead. Shepherd mounted a run of their own to narrow the gap, but the Warriors held them off to win the first set.
- Set 2 (25-21): Shepherd had an eight-point advantage early in the set, but ESU fought back to take a 20-19 lead. The Warriors closed out the set on a 5-2 run to go up two sets to none.
- Set 3 (21-25): The third set was tightly contested, with the score reaching 18-18. From that point on, the Rams outscored ESU 7-3 to take the set.
- Set 4 (18-25): Shepherd took the fourth set thanks to a 7-0 run that put the Warriors in a seven-point hole they could not overcome, tying the match at two sets.
- Set 5 (8-15): Shepherd set the tone early, scoring the first four points of the set. They eventually won the set by seven points and took the match, 3-2.
