Four Women's Basketball Student-Athletes Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

EAST STROUDSBURG – On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced that East Stroudsburg University women's basketball student-athletes Carley Adams, Corrin Gill, Cassidy Saylor and Izzy Vogel were named to the Academic All-District Team.
 

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50, and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or must start in at least 66 percent of contests.

Adams earned her first-ever College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection as she pursues her bachelor's degree in social work with a 3.95 grade-point average. In three seasons with the Warriors, Adams has played in 79 games, making 68 starts and this year scored a career-high 16 points at Shepherd.

Gill is honored on the CSC Academic All-District Team for the first time in her career as the Bethlehem native currently holds a perfect 4.0 GPA as she obtains her bachelor's degree in special education and early childhood education. Through three seasons wearing the red and black, Gill has appeared in 79 games, making 47 starts which included all 28 contests in 2023-24. Back on February 21, the junior poured in a career-high 20 points in win over Bloomsburg.

Saylor, who holds a 3.83 GPA as a business management major with a minor in sport management, was selected to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for the first time in her career. Since transferring in two seasons ago, the junior has played in 52 games, making 31 starts while averaging 5.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 0.4 blocks in 20.1 minutes per game.

Vogel was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for the first time as the junior maintains a 3.82 GPA as a business major. The Harrisburg native has started in 72 of the 82 games she's appeared in since stepping on campus and averaged a career-high 8.5 points this season to go along with 5.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.6 blocks in 29.4 minutes per game.

Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early April.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
