SHIPPENSBURG – The opening day of the 2024 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Outdoor Championships for the East Stroudsburg University men's track and field team was highlighted by second and third place finishes for Isaac Almoney and Anthony Voto in the hammer throw on Friday at Seth Grove Stadium.
Through two events, the Warriors are second in the team standings with 14 points, trailing 15-time defending champion Shippensburg, who totaled 41 points.
Running Highlights
Landon Boyle paced a trio of Warriors in the 10000m as the sophomore took 12th place after crossing the line in 32:23.67, while freshmen Ethan Holcomb (33:25.40) and Bryce Keenoy took 16th and 17th respectively.
Field Highlights
On his way to a runner-up finish in the hammer throw, Almoney recorded a personal-best and NCAA provisional mark of 58.18m (190-10) to move up to fourth all-time in the ESU record books. Voto was right behind in third place as the sophomore notched a throw of 56.87m (186-7) on his first attempt.
