NEW ORLEANS, La. – On Monday, the East Stroudsburg University men's and women's track and field teams were both recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as All-Academic Teams. Additionally, Isaac Almoney, Cole Gorham, Jack Gorham and Zach Nissley were named All-Academic Athletes.

Here is the criteria for a team be named an NCAA Division II All-Academic Team:

Institutions utilizing a different GPA scale must convert the GPA to a 4.0 scale using the standard conversion method [GPA/Scale x 4.0].
  • Transfer students and/or graduate students are to include only grades earned at the current nominating institution.
The Warriors ended the 2023-24 academic year with a 3.16 team GPA on the men's side, while the women's squad posted a 3.25 team GPA.

Here is the criteria to be named an NCAA Division II All-Academic Athlete:
  • Minimum cumulative grade point average of a 3.25 on a 4.0 scale through the end of the semester of competition.
  • Must have completed at least 24 semester hours/36 quarter hours through the end of the semester of competition at the institution.
  • Transfer students and/or graduate students are to include only grades earned at the current nominating institution.
  • The student-athlete must have achieved an automatic or provisional qualifying mark (individual or relay event) for either the indoor season or outdoor season.
Almoney collects the honors once again as he currently holds a 3.85 GPA while pursuing his master's degree in sport management after graduating last spring with a similar bachelor's degree.

Two-time All-American Cole Gorham earned the award for the third consecutive year as the junior owns a 3.51 GPA as a physical education and health education major. Gorham earned All-America First Team honors with an eighth place finish in the discus at the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships and landed on the All-America Second Team at this year's NCAA Indoor Championships following a 10th place finish in the shot put.

Jack Gorham, a junior studying business, earned All-Academic Athlete status after posting a 3.402 GPA, while Nissley earned the honors for the second straight year with a 3.49 GPA as a marine biology major.
