EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University softball head coach Jaime Wohlbach has announced the signing of Maryland Eastern Shore transfer Tatum Kresley.
"We are excited for Tatum to join our Warrior family," said Wohlbach of the newest Warrior. "She brings energy and experience to the team. Tatum is a competitor and will play multiple roles for ESU."
Kresley, an Alburtis, Pa. native and Emmaus graduate, moves to the NCAA Division II ranks after spending time at NCAA Division I Maryland Eastern Shore (2021-22, 2024) and Maryland (2023). She will have at least two seasons of eligibility remaining.
At Maryland Eastern Shore in 2022, Kresley was named the All-MEAC Co-Rookie of the Year, earned a spot on the All-MEAC First Team, and was a finalist for NFCA Freshman of the Year. As an outfielder and pitcher, she garnered five MEAC weekly honors. She etched her name in the UMES record book by setting single-season records for hits (76) and stolen bases (40), ranking in the top-15 nationally in both batting average (.437), hits, and stolen bases.
At Emmaus, Kresley was a three-time all-state and all-conference selection, landing on the All-Eastern Pennsylvania Conference First Team as a junior and senior. She helped lead the Green Hornets to a state championship appearance in 2018 and four district playoff appearances. As a senior, Kresley batted .619 with 51 hits and 13 stolen bases. She also played for the NJ/PA Batbusters travel softball club.
Kresley joins a Warrior squad that finished 46-17 a season ago and has earned the top spot in the NCAA Atlantic Region each of the past two seasons, including a regional championship in 2023.
