LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - East Stroudsburg University's
Allison Birtcil has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Athlete of the Week, announced by the league Monday afternoon.
The Tucson, Ariz. native led ESU to two key conference wins over Millersville and West Chester this past weekend to extend their win streak to nine matches.
On Friday against Millersville, Birtcil led the floor with 14 kills, totaled three blocks, had a .448 hitting percentage, and contributed 15.5 points. Against West Chester, she posted a career high of 22 kills, totaled two blocks, had a .364 hitting percentage, and recorded 23.5 points.
Through both games she combined for 36 kills, five total blocks, 39 points, and averaged a .406 hitting percentage.
