MILLERSVILLE, Pa. -- The East Stroudsburg women's volleyball team secured their 20th win this season with a road sweep over Millersville on Friday evening. Set scores were 25-16, 25-19, and 25-21.
The Warriors improved to 20-5 overall and 10-1 in the PSAC, while the Marauders dropped to 6-19 overall and 1-10 in the PSAC.

East Stroudsburg hit above a .300 in the first two sets to finish with a .281 hitting percentage. The Warriors dominated at the net posting 48 kills compared to the Marauders' 28.
Allison Birtcil led the floor with 14 kills,
Kelly Crites followed with 11, and
Anna Coulter with nine. Birtcil and Coulter each tallied three blocks, while
Kyra Bishop and
Harry Berry added two apiece. Both teams finished with seven service aces as
Romina Martinez recorded three while both
Marta Leeland and Coulter each had two.
How it happened
Set 1: Millersville scored the first two points of the match, 2-0. ESU responded with four straight kills with two from Birtcil, and one from both Martinez and Coulter, 4-2. After Millersville tied it at 5-5, the Warriors surged with a six-point run featuring three kills and three service aces from Martinez to take an 11-5 advantage. The Marauders trimmed the deficit to four, but consecutive+ kills from Birtcil pushed ESU ahead by seven. A late four-point run sealed the first set for the Warriors, 25-16.
Set 2: ESU carried its momentum into the second set as Birtcil opened with a kill and a block alongside Berry for a quick 2-0 lead. The teams traded points early, tying at 5-5 before a 6-1 Warrior run made it 11-6. The Marauders got back within one at 12-11, however ESU surged ahead with a 7-1 run that included consecutive kills from both Martinez and Coulter. A Crites kill put ESU one point away, while a Millersville attack error gave ESU a two set lead, 25-19.
Set 3: The Marauders started the third set with two blocks, 2-0. ESU got on the board and the teams traded points to stay within one,13-12. Two service aces gave the Marauders a brief 15-13 advantage, but ESU tied it again on a Crites kill and a Millersville error. The set remained close until three kills and a block from Birtcil propelled the Warriors to a 23-20 lead. Birtcil and Martinez each added a kill to finish the sweep, 25-21.
