Women’s Volleyball Earn No. 2 Seed in NCAA Atlantic Region Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- For the fourth time in program history, the East Stroudsburg women's volleyball program has been selected to the NCAA DII Tournament, earning the No. 2 seed in the Atlantic Region, announced during Monday night's selection show. 

The Warriors were selected as the No. 2 seed and will face No. 7 Charleston (WV) in the opening round of the tournament set for Thursday, December 4.  

Gannon will host the eight-team Atlantic Region Tournament at the Highmark Events Center in Erie, Pa. Gannon was the PSAC Championship runner-up, behind ESU who claimed the PSAC title for the sixth time in program history. Five teams from the PSAC were named to the eight-team regional tournament field with two teams making up the Mountain East Conference (MEC) and one representative from the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA). 

ESU earned a bid into the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time overall and first time since 2021. The Warriors previously made appearances in 2021, 2019, and 2000. 

Under fifth year head coach Tricia Melfy, the team will enter the tournament with a 26-5 overall record and a 14-match win streak.

    • 4:00 p.m. | Winner of Q1 vs. Winner of Q2
    • 7:00 p.m. | Winner of Q3 vs. Winner of Q4
  • Regional Finals - Saturday, December 6
    • 4:00 p.m. | Winner of S1 vs. Winner of S2

The winners of the eight regionals will advance to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight on December 11-13 in Sious Falls, S.D.
