LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — Following a five-point performance in ESU's 8-2 win over Frostburg State, Emma Friend was named Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Field Hockey Athlete of the Week.

Friend helped the Warriors clinch the first-round bye in the PSAC Championships with a dominant performance in ESU's 8-2 win on Saturday. The senior stuffed the statsheet with two goals and one assist for five points, and put all three of her shots on target. Friend got the scoring started in the third minute of the game, assisting on the opening goal, and responding to the Bobcats' second-half goals with two of her own to keep the game out of reach.

The Warriors await the results of the PSAC Championships Quarterfinals to know their opponent in the semifinals, which will take place at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7 in Kutztown, Pa.
