NEW ORLEANS, La. - After one of the most dominant indoor track and field seasons in East Stroudsburg University history,
Cole Gorham was named the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Field Athlete of the Year on Friday.

Gorham capped off his historic season as the national runner-up in the shot put at the NCAA DII Indoor Championships. On his final throw of the competition, he recorded a personal-best and school-record mark of 18.76 meters (61 feet, 6 ¾ inches), the second-best throw in PSAC history.

Before the national meet, Gorham won the PSAC indoor shot put title for the second consecutive season.

Jim Morrison was also recognized, earning Atlantic Region Men's Assistant Coach of the Year honors. This season, Morrison coached three PSAC champions—Gorham,
Anthony Voto, and Samiyah Little—and two All-Americans in Gorham and Voto.
