EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday that Cole Gorham and Shannon Harnett were named the Indoor Field Athletes of the Year for the 2025 season.
Cole Gorham
Gorham completed one of the greatest indoor seasons for a Warrior in recent memory. Gorham dominated in the shot put by picking up five first place finishes across the season.
At the 2025 Indoor PSAC Championships, Gorham repeated as the champion in shot put when he'd thrown yet another NCAA provisional mark of 18.09m (59 feet 4.25 inches).
Gorham would go on to represent the Warriors at the NCAA DII Indoor Championships. Heading into his final throw, Gorham launched the shot put to break his school record yet again and be named the national runner-up.
Gorham's second place mark of 18.76 meters (61 feet, 6 ¾ inches) is the second-best throw in the history of the PSAC.
Shannon Harnett
In her first season as a Warrior after transferring from Towson, Harnett was key in propelling the Warriors to a third place team finish at the conference championships.
She scored 24 of the team's 82.75 points with her first place finish in the triple jump, second place in high jump and third place in the long jump.
Her stellar performance earned her Outstanding Women's Field Athlete of the meet.
In the triple jump, Harnett was sitting in third place heading into the final jump of the competition.
In her final attempt, Harnett leaped into first place with an NCAA provisional jump and school record of 11.96 meters (39 feet, 3 inches).
