EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – After a historic breakout in the long jump, Bryson Gilchrist has been named PSAC Field Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career.
At the ESU All-American Meet, Gilchrist delivered a standout performance in front of the home crowd.
On his second attempt of the competition, he recorded a personal best of 7.52 meters (24 feet, 8.25 inches). The mark set new records for both Eiler-Martin Stadium and the All-American Meet.
With the jump, Gilchrist moved into first place in the PSAC and now ranks seventh nationally in the long jump.
