East Stroudsburg Defeats Shepherd Behind Historic Day for Sadie Kauffman

Shepherdstown, WV - The East Stroudsburg Warriors (13-4, 10-2 PSAC East) delivered a dominant performance on Saturday afternoon, overpowering Shepherd 14-6 at Ram Stadium. The win was highlighted by a milestone moment as freshman Sadie Kauffman broke the East Stroudsburg freshman record for points in a single season, continuing a sensational debut campaign.

From the opening draw, ESU asserted control. Hannah Schiemer sparked the offense just over a minute into the game with an unassisted goal, setting the tone for a fast-paced and aggressive attack. The Warriors quickly built a 6-2 lead by the end of the first quarter and maintained a comfortable margin the rest of the way.

Kauffman was the centerpiece once again, finishing with four goals and two assists, showcasing her creativity, finishing ability, and playmaking instincts. Her unassisted tallies displayed her knack for breaking down defenders one-on-one, while her assists showed her vision and timing feeding teammates like Lauren Hallman and Sophia Graffeo.

The Warriors' offense was relentless, with Ariana Tucci delivering a clinical performance, scoring five goals on a game-high 11 shots. Tucci continually found space inside the arc, converting opportunities with precision, including a free-position goal during a key first-quarter surge.
