LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced Monday that East Stroudsburg University standout Abigail Weirich has been named the PSAC East Athlete of the Year, and head coach Jaime Wohlbach has been named PSAC East Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season. ESU led all schools with four selections to the PSAC East First Team, marking the program's most since 1993.

Weirich is just the third player in program history to be named PSAC East Athlete of the Year, joining Rachel Gieringer (2012) and Karen Bauer (1996). The senior left fielder capped off a historic regular season by ranking among the league leaders in nearly every offensive category, including seventh in batting average (.411), first in RBIs (56), and third in hits (72) and runs scored (50). She also broke multiple school records, including career stolen bases (116), career RBIs (151), single-season RBIs (56), and total bases in a season (114). Weirich is one of just three players in program history to eclipse 200 career hits (203).

Head coach Jaime Wohlbach earned her second career PSAC East Coach of the Year honor (was named MAAC Coach of the Year at Iona) after guiding the Warriors to their third straight PSAC East regular season title with a 42-9-1 overall record and a 26-5-1 mark in conference play. ESU is the only team in the PSAC to reach both 40 overall wins and 25 conference wins in 2025.

Joining Weirich on the PSAC East First Team are Delaney Ridgell (C/DP), Tatum Kresley (2b), and Sarah Davenport (P).

Ridgell, who has started 50 of 51 games, posted a .351 batting average and drove in 54 runs, while launching 10 home runs. She leads the team in on-base percentage and has yet to be caught stealing.

Kresley, in her first year with the Warriors, hit .403 while tallying a team-best 73 hits, including six triples. She also ranks second on the team in stolen bases (16) and has been a spark at the top of the lineup.

Davenport earned first team honors for the second straight season following a dominant sophomore campaign. The right-hander set a new program record with 27 wins, while recording 321 strikeouts in 193.1 innings. She also holds the single-season school record for shutouts (10) and posted a 1.45 ERA with a 0.93 WHIP.

This is the first time in 32 years that East Stroudsburg has placed four players on the PSAC East First Team, last accomplished in 1993.
