Scouting Slippery Rock
Slippery Rock enters Friday's matchup after a 16-11 win over Bloomsburg on Day 1 and a thrilling 5-4 upset of nationally ranked Kutztown on Day 2. The Rock advanced to the PSAC Championship tournament as the PSAC West regular-season champion.

Like ESU, Slippery Rock earned several All-PSAC honors earlier this week, with four selections and two major awards. Alexsa Hurd was named PSAC West Pitcher of the Year, and head coach Stacey Rice was tabbed PSAC West Coach of the Year. Emma Kennedy (catcher), Sydney Brown (second base) and Shaylyn Shall (designated player) were named to the second team.

Rice, in her 11th season leading the program, has guided The Rock to a 29-19 record and its third straight PSAC Championship appearance. In 2023, she led the program to its first postseason win since 1983.

The winner of Friday's 10 a.m. game will advance to Day 4 of the PSAC Championship to the final on Saturday at 11 a.m.

The loser of Friday's game will play again at 3 p.m. for an elimination game for another chance to reach the final day of competition.
