SLIPPERY ROCK – Junior Anthony Voto captured the hammer throw title to lead the East Stroudsburg University men's track and field team on the opening day of the 2025 PSAC Outdoor Championships at Slippery Rock's William C. Lennox Track.
Voto, who won the weight throw at the 2025 PSAC Indoor Championships, became the first ESU thrower since 2016 to place first in the hammer at the conference meet, capturing the program's sixth title overall. He joins All-Americans Paul Wagner (2008-10) and Travis Toth (2014, 2016).
The junior recorded a personal-best throw of 61.21m (200-10) on his fourth attempt, a mark that ranks third in the ESU record book and 12th in NCAA Division II.
Through two events, the Warriors are second in the team standings with 17 points, trailing 15-time defending champion Shippensburg, who totaled 23 points.
