EAST STROUDSBURG – Sophomore pitcher Sarah Davenport, junior catcher Delaney Ridgell and senior outfielder Abigail Weirich were named to the first team, and senior second baseman Tatum Kresley was placed on the second team, on the NFCA Division II All-Atlantic Region teams announced Thursday.

The quartet led ESU (46-10-1) to the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament Atlantic Regional. The Warriors are hosting one subregional this weekend at Creekview Park.

Davenport earns her second straight first team selection and gives ESU a pitcher on the NFCA All-Region team for the fourth time in the last five seasons.

Ridgell, Weirich and Kresley all gained their first NFCA All-Region selections.

ESU's four selections are the most in program history. The Warriors had two NFCA selections in both 2017 and 2021, and had three D2CCA (athletic communications) selections last season.

Davenport is 30-3 with a 1.44 ERA, 356 strikeouts and 70 walks in 219.1 innings pitched. She has 27 complete games and 12 shutouts in 31 starts (36 appearances total), along with two saves, and a .165 opponents batting average. She was named PSAC Tournament MVP last weekend with a 3-1 record, 1.34 ERA and 35 strikeouts in 26.0 innings.

Nationally, she leads Division II in wins (30), strikeouts (356) and innings pitched (219.1), is tied for first in complete games (27), ranks second in strikeouts per seven innings (11.4) and third in shutouts (12).

Davenport has 13 games with at least 13 strikeouts this season, and had two games with 17. She has tossed three no-hitters, including two perfect games, and one-hit Slippery Rock in the PSAC Tournament.

Ridgell is batting .367 with a .431 on-base percentage and .627 slugging percentage. She has 61 hits, 11 doubles, one triple, 10 home runs (tied for the school record), 60 RBI (tied for the school record) and 42 runs scored. Ridgell is the second ESU catcher named All-Region following Erika Lee, who was first team North Atlantic Region in 2000 and 2002. Ridgell was D2CCA All-Region last season.

Weirich, who was named the PSAC East Athlete of the Year, and the first Warrior since Rachel Gieringer to earn the award in 2012, is hitting .415/.418/.648 with 80 hits, 17 doubles, five triples, six home runs, 60 RBI, 56 runs and is 38-for-41 on stolen bases. Entering the regional, she holds ESU's single-season record with 125 total bases, is tied for the record with 28 extra-base hits, and shares the season RBI record with Ridgell.

Weirich holds ESU career records for RBI (156) and stolen bases (122), ranks second in hits (211) and runs (153), and third in total bases (312) going into the weekend.

Kresley leads ESU with a .421 batting average and .438 on-base percentage. She is slugging .533 with 83 hits, 10 doubles, six triples, 23 RBI, 61 runs and is 20-for-23 on stolen bases. Her 83 hits are an ESU single-season record, three ahead of Weirich, and she holds the season mark with 61 runs.
