CLEVELAND, OH – East Stroudsburg University (ESU) has reached a historic milestone, achieving its highest-ever finish in the Learfield Directors' Cup Division II final standings. The Warriors secured 31st place with 463.25 points in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), further solidifying their reputation as a rising force in collegiate athletics.

Fall Sports Success
ESU's athletic year began with a strong performance in cross country, finishing 32nd at nationals and contributing 42 points to the university's total. The team also earned impressive third-place finishes at both the conference and regional levels. Field hockey showcased remarkable resilience, advancing to the NCAA tournament semifinals and securing third place, adding 55 points to ESU's tally. Meanwhile, football delivered a solid season, finishing 17th and contributing 25 points. The Warriors earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament, though their journey ended in the first round.

Winter Sports Contributions
ESU accumulated 71.50 points in the Learfield Directors' Cup Division II Winter Standings, thanks to standout performances in basketball and track and field. The basketball team secured a 33rd-place finish, adding 25 points to the university's total. Track and field continued its tradition of excellence, finishing 27th and earning 46.5 points in NCAA competition.

Spring Sports Triumphs
Spring competition saw baseball leading the charge with a stellar 5th-place finish, earning 78 points after a strong NCAA Tournament run. Track and field added 60.8 points with a 14th-place showing, highlighted by outstanding individual performances.
In discus, Cole Gorham secured 12th place with a mark of 52.73 meters (173-0), earning Second Team All-American honors and becoming ESU's first athlete to compete in the NCAA Championships in this event last season.
In the javelin competition, Chris Fredericks claimed third place with an impressive throw of 71.76 meters (235 feet, 5 inches), while Luke Stevenosky secured seventh place with a mark of 66.98 meters (219 feet, 9 inches). Both athletes earned All-American honors in the event.  Senior Cole Gorham concluded an outstanding season with a remarkable third-place finish in the shot put, delivering a final throw of 18.34 meters (60 feet, 2 inches) to secure All-American honors.
Lacrosse battled to a 9th-place finish after a deep Atlantic Region run, securing 45 points, while softball finished 17th with 50 points after a strong season that culminated in an NCAA Atlantic Regional appearance. Track and field added 36 points, finishing 38th, with Porschia Bennett's third-place high jump performance earning ESU its first All-American honor of the meet.

About the Learfield Directors' Cup
The Learfield Directors' Cup, created in partnership between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today, recognizes excellence in collegiate athletics, awarding points based on NCAA Championship performances. Division II standings are determined by 15 sports, with four—volleyball, basketball, and baseball—being mandatory, while the highest-scoring 11 additional sports round out each institution's placement. This historic achievement underscores ESU's steady rise and commitment to athletic excellence, setting the stage for even greater success in the years ahead. At the top of the Division II standings, Grand Valley State University claimed first place with 1,080.50 points.
